SLO Reporter Organizational Support

This PD will help SLO reporters and those working on SLO reports keep track of when and how to complete SLO reports. This will help departments complete their SLOs on time and provide for more participation in the process. The more faculty that is involved in the reporting and reflection of course assignments and assessment, the greater the likelihood that course assignments will align more closely with outcomes. Additionally, providing more opportunities for colleagues to reflect and discuss student outcomes may increase discussions about what are effective instructional strategies and assessments. This can only enhance students' opportunities to learn and be successful.

Participants will:

• review and examine their department's multi-year SLO plan.
  
• examine a spreadsheet for collecting data on student performance.
  
• evaluate how to use the materials provided to better organize and systematize their department's SLO reporting system.
  
• determine how to create and implement an effective organization system for their department.

This event will be facilitated by two members of SLOAC. During the event participants will work collaboratively to share experiences as SLO reporters and what systems they have in place. Additionally, participants with "workshop" tools provided to create a system that best fits both their needs and the needs of the department.
