Online education, or "distance education," is highly regulated, and several overlapping state and federal laws and local policies govern the way we set up and run our online classes. In this session, the campus Distance Education Coordinator (Kandace Knudson) will provide a brief overview of this tangled web and will discuss with faculty what recommended online pedagogical practices ensure they are meeting related standards for online teaching.
Participants are encouraged to queue up a digital copy of a syllabus for discussion.
