Join Prof. Rosalinda Salazar for important opportunities to touch back and expand on efforts started during Fall 2024 PD Week to recognize the tremendous importance of time outdoors to our physical, psychological and emotional health and the care we can offer to ourselves, our students, and our community as a whole.
Please plan for a collaborative communal experience outdoors (dress in layers and comfortably to get your limbs movin'!) around campus as we touch on topics such as:
- the scientific and historical data on racism and racial violence that occurs in outdoor spaces
- scientific data supporting the need for all bodies to have access and be welcomed into outdoor activities for overall health and wellness
- institutional needs to bring our equitizing efforts to natural environments around us to support student work
