The vast array of tools that help instructors manage online teaching is growing exponentially each month; new opportunities for "saving time" are seemingly endless. However, deployment of these tools that do some of the teaching work on behalf of instructors requires trade-offs, especially concerning compliance with federal laws that govern institutional eligibility for dispersing federal financial aid.
In this session, the campus distance education coordinator discusses those trade-offs and what instructors need to do to remain compliant with those federal laws that define Distance Education and Regular Substantive Interaction.
