This talk examines how global conversations about AI in education are often shaped by perspectives from the U.S. and Europe, while voices from the Global South remain underrepresented.
Niranjan Rajpurohit of the National Law University in Jodhpur, India brings a critical and context-rich perspective, drawing on his doctoral work on the applications of machine learning as well as his experience as a certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
He explores how issues such as access, equity, ethics, and implementation take on different meanings in the Global South, and why incorporating these perspectives is essential for developing more inclusive and effective approaches to AI in education.
