Artificial Intelligence cannot replace human relationships or human connection. Alarmingly, human intelligence is suffering as we stare at devices, communicate over text, and avoid interactions.
We know developing relationships with students on a real level builds trust, belonging and increases success and overall well-being. Higher education is admittedly transactional - students attend and expect information (whether they want it or not), faculty provide information and expect students to engage and participate in their learning.
Students expect a grade. Done.
We likely would not enjoy such an experience in any other aisle of our lives.
In this session, we will explore easy strategies and activities to weave throughout your existing curriculum to bring in student stories, create vulnerability and build relationships.
This is not re-writing everything you have ever done, this is humanizing it.
