Title 5 now requires course outlines of record to show how courses incorporate practices of Inclusion, Equity, Anti-Racism, and Acessibility (IDEAA) and are taught through tenets of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
This workshop will cover these Title 5 changes, the curriculum committee's process for making these changes, and a timeline of implementation.
Then, the presenters will share examples of course outlines that include IDEAA practices and UDL tenets.
Faculty will then be given time to look at one of their course outlines and brainstorm how to revise it with language that shows how they are practicing IDEAA and UDL in their classroom.
Sample language will be collected and shared, and the session will end with time for questions.
