Committee Charge
This committee promotes inclusive, equity-based professional learning activities for all college personnel to foster professional and personal growth, focused on supporting our students and the community. This is achieved by aligning our offerings with the college’s programs, curriculum, services, and initiatives, as well as institution, division/department, program, resource, and unit plans. In collaboration with the Staff Resource Center (SRC) the committee plans, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates programs, projects, and activities, including Convocation and Professional Learning and Development Week.
Additionally, the committee reviews the results of the annual needs assessment of all college personnel to recommend and support professional development activities annually as part of a continuous improvement model, with deliberate intention towards advancement of social justice, accessibility, and equity grounded goals. The committee develops and manages processes and distribution of campus Conference/Workshop/Travel funds.
